Berger Str. 18, Frankfurt
The Ypsilon bookstore / café, in the lower Berger Straße, in the Bornheim district of Frankfurt, has been one of our favorite bookstores for many years. There is nourishment for the mind and stomach here. Here you can immerse yourself in the excellent range of books from all areas and enjoy a delicious cup of coffee at the same time. The range of warm dishes is also highly recommended. Whether the vegetarian soup of the day or the herb omelette, everything tastes absolutely good. This also applies to the colorful range of salads. The staff are always very friendly and helpful. We always love coming back here.
Friendly service
Always find great books for kids
Staff was friendly and very helpful. Despite the small space, the offer of books and diversion is great. It's a very cute and old-school store!
Nice little bookstore. Nice ambience.
BergerStraße as the catwalk of the new middle class of bioganese performers and neo-Victorian laying hens with cargo bikes, despite the Y coffee & bookstore with authenticity and deceleration. Espresso is awesome!
For me personally there is a lot of nostalgia, but I have to say that the food is not that great
How to imagine a nice, well-stocked and friendly bookstore.
I've known Café Ypsilon for 20 years now and nothing has really changed. A well-stocked bookshop paired with a small café, the perfect connection. There are also small dishes in the café and breakfast is also available. The perfect place if you need a break from the Frankfurt happenings.
Super nice advice and I'm reading Eva Menasse ... Quasiquristalle
It was unusual. Where I was sitting, the heating was under the seat. Totally pleasant. The coffee was great.
I like this place very much. The service is very friendly. I also love the '68 motto on the wall!
This is a very nice bookstore that women should take time for as there is a flood of books, but now go and have fun.
I loved this place! It was cozy, great coffee and the staff was very nice, thank you, I definitely will be back
The best bookstore in town !!! People are always friendly, there are a lot of incredibly good (and well-stocked) books and the atmosphere is wonderful 😍😍😍 My absolute favorite bookstore!
Has been around for a long time, but I haven't been to the café yet. But nice, salad okay, Pils probably did not run ...
Nice cafe, with good food and well priced
Has an excellent atmosphere. The guests are not loud, which is essential for someone who wants to relax mentally. Dad staff is excellent
Ypsilon is a bookstore and cafe on one of Frankfurt's most popular streets. The cafe staff is very friendly and pleasant, the food is quite tasty. Nice place for breakfast. In summer, a small terrace is open. Inside, however, the cafe is not the most comfortable. A small number of tables located close to each other.
Cool shop something completely different, totally getting used to but a great change if you want to have breakfast in a special environment. The audience is rather from 35 to 100 :) but the breakfast is ok as well as the prices. What tasted very, very delicious was the potato gratin with spinach 👏👏👏. There is not very much space, but that is what makes this cafe. The service was very nice, only the guests are such a nr for themselves .... drink a hot drink and read the Frankfurter Rundschau from start to finish with very, very much much time.....
Service is really good and polite. I loved the cookies and cappuccino is great. Lovely atmosphere and jazz music. I would come back again for sure. :)
Soooo German. Nice service and regular visitors. It is a nice neighborhood's cafe. Food from 7am to 23h!!! Very untipical for Germany
Very old bookstore, nice that there are still such. There is also a cup of tea ... What more could you want.
The breakfast is large. However, the ingredients, as well as dishes and presentation of the food rather simple. It tastes delicious, the staff is friendly. Here you can eat and drink comfortably and inexpensively.

A very fine, rustic bookstore, which accommodates a lot more books on its manageable area than you might think! Especially the available selection of children's books surprised me! The experienced staff are very friendly, willing to provide information and make every effort to find the right one for you. Such great, individual bookstores have to be preserved, so buy the books here rather than the Evil River! Directly connected to a café, where you can devour your books in a cozy atmosphere with a cup of cocoa and a piece of cake directly!
As always 1A
Great for a rainy and slow Sunday afternoon with a good book. Service can be very slow which is a good thing if you want to be left alone, not so much when you want something else to drink or a piece of cake. Very affordable and good coffee.
Wow - celebrating 30 years in Bornheim - Ypsilon is an institution in the city and never fails to please. Go there for breakfast or lunch, or simply a coffee after a lazy walk on the Berger.
There is a formula for the brunch at 12,5E : you can help yourself, and there are a lot of dishes (meat, bread, chesse, vegetables, couscous, candies). It's not expensive, good place, good service, quality ingredients. So : 5 stars.
Just went to the cafe, nothing special. Good to read alone, less to gather if you are more than 2.
Best !!!!
Good food and nice ambience.. loved the place.
Good atmosphere
The worst brunch ever.
Bad brunch selection and very unfriendly service.
